Thats true, but also to eat as much as possible (it might be funny, but it is true). your right about fish, but its good to eat fish in the morning. " There is a custom, the Ben Ish Chai writes, to eat fish on Erev Kippur. And he says the custom is specifically in the breakfast"
  - also its good to avoid fatty foods, hot milk, eggs, dates, and more. One should be careful not to eat them past breakfast.  http://dailyhalacha.com/displayRead.asp?readID=389
