Gentiles are obligated to fulfill the Seven Noahide Commandments because they are the eternal command of God, transmitted through Moses our teacher in the Torah. The main and best book on details of Noahide observance is "The Divine Code" by Rabbi Moshe Weiner.

He reminds me of the Babadook.

David and I have a friendly joke that I corrupted him by getting him into horror. I hope you watched it of your own free will. Don't blame me if you become addicted to horror.

I hope I won't become a fan of horror movies. Only horror that I'm watching is on this forum. I plan to watch It Chapter Two in September because I watched the first part. :)

Ok, I tell you my impressions. I'm surprised that you will not watch it. The old woman is one of the main reasons I'm awaiting this movie.

I have my problems with Stephen King. The book It described a child orgy. I'm not into that.

I prefer King's nonfiction work to his fiction. His On Writing: A Memoir of the Craft (2000) is an excellent writing guide. Possibly the best advice from the book is: "The road to hell is paved with adverbs."

I don't know about the book, but the movie seemed to be alright. Girl in the movie was harassed by her father, but there weren't graphic scenes if I remember correctly.

I never read King's books. I was not aware that he writes nonfiction.

The scene was left out of the movie. King was an English teacher, so he is a master of the English language. And he is right about adverbs.

Compare the following sentences:

I saw the man. (normal sentence, no adverbs)

I saw the man yesterday in the house. (adverb of time and a prepositional phrase as adverb of place)

The second sentence has four more words.

Interesting. There is already enough information in the first sentence. I suppose he uses these shorter sentences in his novels.
