Why is the left turning on Bernie?
« on: February 26, 2020, 01:00:48 AM »
Seriously though. When it comes to the left, their moral outrage is in every case fake, I don't believe any of them actually care if America is a communist hell with executions in central park. Who is paying them to speak against Bernie, and/or what benefit do they gain from attacking him?

CNN Dedicates an Entire Segment to Slamming Bernie's Life-Long Support of Communist Dictators

On Monday, CNN's "Reality Check" with John Avlon slammed Sen. Bernie Sander (D-VT) for his support of Cuban Prime Minister Fidel Castro and Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega, both communist dictators.

"Sanders' reluctance to condemn [Fidel] Castrol completely is an honest assessment of his beliefs. For decades, he celebrated aspects of the Cuban Contra's Revolution," Avlon explained.

The network played a clip of Sanders previously saying he remembered when the so-called revolution took place when he was a kid.

"I was a kid and I remember reading that and it seemed right and appropriate that poor people were rising up against ugly rich people," Sanders said in the clip from his past.

"This is, to use a favorite phrase of the progressive left, 'problematic,'" the CNN host said. He referenced Democratic Congresswoman Donna Shalala who said she hoped Sanders would meet with her constituents "before sing[ing] the praises of a murderous tyrant like Fidel Castro."

Avlon referenced numerous "problematic" instances in Sanders' past, including when he called Ortega "a very impressive guy" and decided to honeymoon in Moscow in 1988.

"His praise for the Soviet Union's public transportation and youth programs while somehow never finding the time to meet with Noble Prize-winning Russian dissident Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn – who lives in Vermont in the time – may speak to Sanders' general sympathies at the time," Avlon said.

The CNN host also mentioned Sanders' calls to nationalize most industries during the 1970s, his more recent desires to abolish the CIA and his belief that the United States' actions in Vietnam were "almost as bad as what Hitler did."

"I'm simply pointing out that Sanders' vision of 'democratic socialism' has extended far beyond the dangerous style of welfare states he likes to claim," the CNN host said.

Bernie can call himself a "democratic socialist" but at the end of the day, the policies he advocates for are communist principles. He doesn't want people to work hard to earn wealth. He wants everyone to be treated exactly the same, with the exact same amount of money, health care, child care, and education. It sounds great on paper, but the application has been disastrous with bloody results. There's no incentive to pull yourself up by your bootstraps to make a living. The idea is to have other people pay for things until there is no money left. Under a Sanders presidency, there wouldn't be wealthy or poor. Individualism would seize to exist. Rights would go out the window and Big Brother would become a reality. Oh, and the only thing equitable about this society is that we all suffer together.

They do this because of pressure from the Democrat establishment and because of money. How many millions Bloomberg has spent already? 400? 500? He is a big customer of the networks and newspapers. This mainstream media has done incantations of identity politics and socialism over years! Now the spirits that they called are not going away in one year. Even they get now seen by the bolschewik crowd as non authentic.

I don't believe they're scared. It seems most lefties are perfectly fine with Socialism, denial covers the ones who should be queasy. You answered my question anyways, the attacks on Bernie wanting to destroy America are simple Bloomberg campaign ads.

I'm surprised because Bernie most likely will beat Trump in November.

What do you base that joke on? Bernie supporters are vampires, you only see them at night online. They don't vote.

Like even hardcore leftists are willing to stay home, and moderate leftists are saying they'll vote for Trump. I believe his marketers will charm them to the virtues of gulags, execution fields and mass-starvation, but independents hate him.

I agree with this whole article except was extremely offended when he said Bill Clinton had an affair with an intern, dragging a 19 year old girl into your office in a new job she started when you're the most powerful person alive and telling her to suck you off isn't an affair, that's the most glaring example of quid pro quo rape anyone can point to.

Dems booed him for supporting communism. It's surprising, they all declare their love for it in every university. Maybe Bloomberg had plants who started the boo and they just wanted to bandwagon with the booing.

Makes sense. It's interesting that Bloomberg's cash unload here is serving to hide in the debates and the media that they love socialist dystopias.

I base it on the fact that the republican party so want Bernie to be the opponent for Trump because he'll be easy to beat.  Just like in 2016 when the Dems want Trump because they felt that Trump will be ease to beat because Trump insulted everyone in both parties.  The Dems thought that Trump will be easy to beat because of Trump's personality.  Well, we all know who won.  I feel that it's just the opposite this year.

Who exactly is supposed to vote for Bernie? He said he wants to spend 30 trillion on just healthcare in the debates. There are a lot of dumb+crazy people in America, but not that many.

We'll see if Bernie gets the nomination.

Dems are dropping all the weak candidates, putting their machines into overtime and doing whatever they can to stop that.
