You raise an interesting point regarding resources diverted to HIV. Although some of the amazing recent breakthroughs in immunotherapy were from researchers who remained dedicated to oncology over that whole period of time, it is definitely possible that all those resources could have accelerated those developments and led to additional innovations we don't yet have today.
The advice in the video is solid as always.
