A paradigm for Israel
« on: September 29, 2007, 10:14:29 PM »
It is my opinion that the right wing parties should unite in order to pose a serious challenge.  This should include individuals such as Eldad, Eitam, Feiglin and others who want to lead a right wing Israel.  Others who are marginal such as Nethanyahu, Lieberman, etc. can join if they want to follow the principles of the nationalists.  The principles under which they unite should be broad but strong.
1)   Israel as a Jewish State primarily.  Other values such as Democracy, kindness, liberty while important and vital are subordinate to Jewishness.
2)   Israel needs to be aggressive in maintaining its security.  This means hitting at threats early.  For example we should never tolerate the situation that has developed around Sderot.  The opposite should be the case.  The first rockets fired on Sderot should have been met by a heavy response.  The security paradigm would indicate that territorial concessions should not be entered into lightly and only within the context of guaranteeing security.  In addition it is our opinion that security is enhanced more by territory than by foreign guarantees.  It is enhanced more by Israeli armed force than by promises and treaties
3)    The Land of Israel includes all land that was part of the biblical Land of Israel.  It is also worth noting that Israel is actually too small, not too large to have the strategic depth which it needs.  While for the sake of peace Israel will not pursue possession of any land currently held by Arab nations any land that falls into Israel’s hands as a result of defending Israel against Arab aggression will be considered part of Israel.  This certainly includes Gaza.  It would include Jordan as well as parts of Egypt, Lebanon and Syria.  The best method of achieving peace and avoiding any loss of lands currently held by Arab nations would be for Arabs to restrain from any offensive moves against Israel.
4)   Refugees-The tragedy of refugees from prior conflicts should be dealt with peacefully.  It should be recognized that Arab nations currently hold more than 99% of the land in the Middle East.  It defies logic that the nation that holds the tiniest sliver of Middle Eastern land Israel would be expected to use its miniscule territory to solve a problem that resulted from an attempt to annihilate its people.  It is also our view that the best way to avoid future refugee problems is to include among our principles that any person willing to live peacefully among their neighbors are not to be forced out of their homes.  We categorically reject the concept that peace is to be obtained by the creation of tens or hundreds of thousands of Jewish refugees

This might not satisfy any one party 100% but these are values behind which nationalists can unite instead of having a dozen right wing parties that are ineffective.
We all need to pray for Barack Obama, may the Lord provide him a safe move back to Chicago in January 2,013.

My point is that the nationalists in Israel need to unite.  Instead of Marzel having his own party, Chaim (if he gets there) having his own party, and every other guy who will not get enough votes to put anyone in the Knesset having their own party, and siphoning off enough votes to hurt, the nationalists should unite into a single bloc that could maybe get 25% or more of the votes and put enough members into the Knesset to have a real impact.  It would mean some of them agreeing to broad principles instead of insisting on 100% of everything they want.  I think that is what is necessary to save Israel from the suicidal path it is on.
