What type of interior decor do you like?

I love IKEA design, but I also like the log cabin look... with a Roman style white marble bathroom! I'm going to have a very eclectic house I think.

When we first moved into our current flat, the previous owner an Italian Jewish woman had put up wallpaper with fruit on it, a moss green carpet, red velvet curtains instead of doors and many other hideous things! Ikea was the only solution.

For me, it is a mix of IKEA furniture
(ahhh tylosand...)
and medieval ornamentation
(full size armour, tapestries on the walls...).
Is it a paradox ?
It mixes very well though.
The secret for this
is that furniture is homogenous (IKEA),
and so are the ornaments homogenous (mainly medieval).

"The hussar concept began in Serbia, near the end of the 14th century. In the 16th century, painted wings or winged claws began to appear on cavalry shields. Wings were originally attached to the saddle and later to the back. In 1645, Col. Szczodrowski was said to have used ostrich wings.
In 1500, the Polish Treasury books make reference to hussars. Early on, they were foreign mercenaries, and were called Racowie from "Rascia" a word meaning "of Serbia." They came from the Serbian state of Ras."

I like the old school Italian decor... marble and granite tiles, now that's a kitchen and bathroom!
