I think the reason why the BBC is so wild is that the archaeological site excavations just reach the layers of the time of the first temple. Seals were discovered of some people mentioned in the bible of this time.
Already they say Josia has written the bible. Before they claimed it was written in the Babylonian exile and before Qumran they said it was written in the time of the second temple or even later.
It goes back back and back.
Imagine they find some texts written on clay or metall from the time of David or Salomo or even before.
Basically the game is already over for this "critical" theologists. But loosing all their false believes is painfull.
Every found proof for the truth of the bible in the city of David is for me a greater pleasure than Trumps election.
