Still plagued by the unimaginative humanoid configuration that simply is not the most tactically efficient design, and clear response time delays, but the shock resistance and absorption and cobot (works around people without hurting them without explicit orders) programming make my mouth water. So jealous that I have to work for a pacifist, every fiber in me wants to make something better.

I'm sitting on designs for a robot missile that rips a pilot out of a fighter jet, or possibly kills him, enters his body and uses it to control the ship, the latter being extra work that serves really no purpose other than demoralization. The robot enters the ship as a spear and reconfigures to have hands and feet and gain control of the aircraft. As all technology is hackable, tomorrow if not now, replacing pilots in general with these is a massive security risk, but they can land the thing and go back into a missile when they return. The design is made from identical parts so damaged sections can be automatically repaired by the robot. Furthermore, the terrifying look of the robot in every test causes people to hesitate in fear, much like seeing a bear. Psychologically, the soldier sees a humanoid robot and says "lets kill it", it's familiar. That is of course a tactical advantage until they stop underestimating it, but no matter what stories they were told, a dozen slicing bars coming out of a twisted shape make them say "it'll kill us".

I so totally want to just give them everything right now as a protest against the stupid pacifist policies, but it would violate my honor. The company is getting buying offers for 10 mil min left and right. I strongly advise against every time since there's so much more coming, but I regularly regret it when I have to turn down nice Canadians and Americans that want a gun on it.

I wanna make a better robot so bad it hurts. I have tried every psychologically manipulative trick I found opportunity to, and have not been able to convince my company president to make killer robots. What would you say to convince a pacifist to stop being stupid?

As someone who got involved with COBOT design before the word COBOT design existed, yes they did perfectly on that front. He even knows not to step on your little feet.

However, I wholesale reject robots as personal bodyguards or replacing a military with them. If someone wants to kill you, they can hack them. Robotized suits, Iron Man, as it were, that's my cup of tea. And lots of ability for manual override to everything, and the ability to block all transmissions. Such robots are extremely useful as cannon fodder to draw fire. While I continue to reject the creation of any form of mechanical masturbation robot that people decided entails sex, a humanoid robot that looks like an attractive naked woman running for her life is like a magic wand to make half of an entrenched army abandon or reveal their positions. I suppose for personal use, I would not be opposed to an escort robot so you can have a pretty girl there, so long as there's no valves carved in for freaks to violate.

Also, the tests did confirm handily that he knows how to fight. Still, even if it's not hacked and the cobot programming is magnificent, there's always a glitch somewhere that hasn't shown itself or is just waiting when contradictory code collides, and you never know with a AT (all terrain) robot where it's going to go wrong. Not to mention in today's partisan world, the company might be a democrat donor and decide to mess with your robot army if America attacks someone democrats like this week, and it's a liability. I can go dig up the file from my desk where I play project manager and give you every potential thing that could go wrong with robotic soldiers, if you like. There 10 mitigation strategies for each problem, however you generally only need that many without special situations when your solutions are crap, and they are. A 17 year old kid can hack the CIA. I can name a thousand people that can convince a 17 year old kid to act for some dictator [censored].

I love robots, but AI development for the military or personal protection is an area I strongly suggest against. It must be limited to peaceful applications like manufacturing. Any potential gains you think you may get from it can turn to its opposite in a second for a thousand reasons, and you would turn every computer hacker into the most valuable military asset.

And next time anyone shows me anything I'm going to do the research myself and not spend all damn night trying to figure out what power source they could have possibly used to get that much operation.

The entire video is fake CGI, this never happened. If it takes me a week to make this same video with AUTOCAD graphics, they basically spent months making this cute video instead of the robot. No one will actually fund it, because as I stated, humanoids are a stupid design for robot soldiers. Also the solider testing the COBOT capabilities by standing in front of the robot would get you fired around here even for an aircraft manufacturing robot arm. I assumed there must be massive research on this thing if he had that level of confidence, and in three seconds I found the entire video is faked.

There are also articles about how many people were tricked by it, which brings up an interesting idea for fake weapons technology videos for psychological warfare.

Anyways I don't care anymore because it's not real so mine are still the best. Let me know if anyone thinks there's anyone better than me. And not fakes.
