A note on the translation of ruach hakodesh
« on: July 17, 2021, 11:48:28 PM »
I saw that Wikipedia translates ruach ha-kodesh as holy spirit. By contrast, Rabbi Weiner and Dr. Schulman translate it as holy inspiration in Seven Gates of Righteous Knowledge, page 85. The latter translation is obviously better because it shuns Christian theological baggage.
Gentiles are obligated to fulfill the Seven Noahide Commandments because they are the eternal command of God, transmitted through Moses our teacher in the Torah. The main and best book on details of Noahide observance is "The Divine Code" by Rabbi Moshe Weiner.

The first one is the literal translation.
