This was good what Meyer Lansky and others were
doing and none of the Jewish ‘leaders’ at that time
should have tolerated any backlash or condemnation
by the newspapers or other media. Mayor LaGuardia,
who was Jewish used instead a less effective method
of using the police to come down on and ‘control’ these
accursed Nazi groups which might have seemed to be a
temporary fix by some but certainly no where near as
powerful and long lasting as the Lansky approach.
