According to many respected financial experts, Valentines's Day has now become a multi-billion dollar "industry"... So despite the fact that some of us (myself included) are of the opinion that it's not necessarily fair that no matter what faith you are, Valentine's Day and all the silly and satanic concepts that come with the day like that horrid demonic pagan little "cupid" character are going to be FORCED down your throat whether you like it or not, with all the money now involved with the day, short of locking yourself in a closet with a blindfold and ear plugs, there's really no way to avoid its yearly evil wrath.
You're a killjoy, abdithefaithful. How is expressing love for your significant other "demonic"?  And whose forcing Valentine's day down your throat? When did someone put a gun to your head and force you to fall in love with someone? lol

Why do you assume you have to celebrate Valentine's Day to "fall in love"? This is yet another example of your affirmative action logic.

Please elaborate how V-Day and falling in love has anything to do with affirmative action logic?

Bringing this up again Yackov? Meanwhile I get blasted for bringing up the same topics again and again, but it's OK for you to keep bringing up the same topics.  Also why was one of my topics locked?  It's the one called "What Happened to me."

Nobody forces you to spend money for this day.
In fact, making this day in a money-spending contest, is what we here in Europe call " Americanisation".
Showing that you have a lot of money on a day as this, is considered bad-taste, lower-class behaviour.
THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE ORIGINAL MEANING OF THIS DAY, that's capitalism, without moral values.
Stop watching TV, listening to radio, watching advertisements in the streets.
In fact, the commercialisation of everything is the problem, not this or any other day itself.
This day was originally a tradition of West-European Royal courts.
Isn't that better, than behaving like a Taliban-criminal that exploits women as if they are animals?

The problem with the day is not the commercialization but rather its pagan origins with the pagan g-d Cupid, YM"S.

You don't live in a Jewish state.

We Europeans ARE pagans. Why don't you get it?
Our traditions are NOT solely based on Judaism.
It is more Greek, Roman and Slavic, Celtic or German, and that the USA is based on that tradition.

If you want to start an Inquisition to kill all pagans, be my guest.

I just asked another person this question...so I'll ask you also. WHO is forcing Valentines' day down your throat? I celebrate it because I love making my husband feel special everyday but reserve this day to make him feel ESPECIALLY special and appreciated. He's my heart and I love him. No one MADE ME feel that way...I just do.  SO again, who is forcing you to celebrate Valenine's day? If you don't want to celebrate it, follow in Yacov's footsteps and don't celebrate it.

Yacov, I've been in love with my husband for 17 years and married to him (and still very much in love with him) for close to 14 years. I don't celebrate Valentine's day to "fall in love"...I'm already there. I celebrate it because I love him. I said what I said because the other poster was acting as though someone was MAKING them feel a way they didn't want to feel.

Imerica made it seem like falling in love automatically means you celebrate Valentine's Day. That's like saying that anyone who celebrates a holiday celebrates Christmas even though Non-Christians also have holidays in December such as Jews and Hanukkah.

I did no such thing. I never even said that you HAD to celebrate it if you were in a relationship. Which is why putting a ban on a celebration of love of other couples who do celebrate it is stupid. No one is forcing you to celebrate a holiday that you don't celebrate. You misunderstood. Also like always, the "affirmative action" comments are kind of old. Not to mention the fact that they dont' fit in any of the insults you give me. I'm not AA. I already told you how I felt about the subject.

The big cooperations, the companies who decide it is a good idea to make everything valentines this and valentines that, I bought a bar of chocolate today that is a special valentines edition. If that isn't forcing, I don't know what is. It is IMPOSSIBLE to avoid it.

Pagan gods represent only one thing: Idolatry which is forbidden to both Jews and Gentiles. I don't understand why Christians who believe in St. Valentine's Day don't focus more on St. Valentine and just drop the Cupid idolatry.

You have a problem, Yacov. Have you ever witnessed people celebrating Valentine's Day kneeling and worshipping Cupid? LOL And all of this time I thought they were celebrating love.  ::)

I will say it once and again, civil Gentile Govts. are not guided by the Torah and so are not authoritative to decide who is a Jew and who is a Noahide. How can they make special laws for Jews and Noahides????? So my vote is NO

Even ZooTube is forcing it on us with a heart logo instead of their regular logo. It is a disgrace that you see this when you go to watch JTF videos.

No one at Youtube is forcing you to look at a logo either. Why are you feeling tortured? If you don't want to see it, either close your eyes or don't visit Youtube.

I'm not going to celebrate any of those pagan holidays. But in a monotheistic society, we should not be promoting paganism.

I thought European are supposed to be Christians.

The United States is a Judeo-Christian country, not a pagan country. Why not the same for Europe?
I dsagree. The Western civilisation is build on Greek and Roman empires.
Christianity was incorporated, and played a major role from 600 till 1600 AD,
since then religion is a less determening factor in our everyday non-Jewish lifes than you assume.
Christianity in West-Europe is almost gone.
