Israel's most top secret security installations have been exposed by Google Earth.
The latest version of the popular internet mapping tool clearly shows such sensitive sites as Israel's classified nuclear research station in Dimona, the headquarters of the Mossad spy agency, vital Israeli Air Force bases, the location of the country's Arrow missile defence system and the central Israeli military headquarters and defence ministry compound in Tel Aviv.
Yedioth Ahronoth, the Israeli daily which published the photos on its front page on Friday, said the upgraded website was an 'asset' to enemy states and a 'treasure' to terrorists.
All these sites are heavily guarded round-the-clock and the location of Mossad HQ is a closely-guarded secret. Reporters working in Israel are forbidden from photographing or revealing any details about them under strict military censorship.
But a recent update of Google Earth's satellite images of Israel has blown all these security precautions to pieces.
