Ben Yakov/Guzofsky's official response to the edict to exile him from his home in Tapuach:
(Oct. 14th Ben Yakov was given an administrative order signed by General Shamni ? Chief officer of the IDF over Judea and Samaria, which forbids him from entering anywhere in Judea and Samaria, excluding Maaleh Adumim for the next three months. Ben Yakov resides in Tapuach, works in the Shomron and heads a yeshiva, ulpan and canine defense program in the area, he is also a candidate for the Tapuach Council in the elections to be held next month).
Below find his official response to the order:
I wear with this edict as a badge of honor, in spite of the fact that I can think of no good deeds that I have done to merit being exiled from my home.
The authorities are mistaken if they think that this in some way will stop us from expanding Tapuach, developing our Yeshiva and new hilltop, stop us from raising security dogs for the defense of Jewish towns in Judea and Samaria or if they think that this edict will deter us from speaking out against the upcoming conference where Olmert intends to pledge his surrender of most of Judea and Samaria and parts of Jerusalem.
It is outrageous to exile a candidate from the region where he is running for office and such action represents interference in the democratic political process. The desperate actions of the fools who signed this order will only backfire. The residents of Tapuach and of all Yesha will prove that they will not walk like sheep into the "Auschwitz borders" Olmert is carving out of Israel.
