I don't see how a religion which claims Satan has the power to disobey God is not idolatrous, but I know your answer is the majority opinion.

Avodah Zara means "Foreign Worship". Or put another way, any form of worship not stipulated in the covenant between G-D and Am Yisrael (the Torah).

That may be what the words mean, but that isn't what it means halachically. The definition is specific and carries specific ramifications.

You can't possibly square this claim with what Rambam writes all over the place throughout his works. As mentioned by Chaim in the video, he refers to Muhammad as a madman in his letter to Yemen. And he talks all about how Jews are being beheaded by Islamics in various lands.
What duress?
His family escaped from an Islamic persecution in Spain when he was young. He didn't live a life under duress or in fealty to Muslims.

The ignorance and presumption is amazing. In the year 1148, Rambam was 10 years old!
Now they say it was him rather than his father. It is purely speculation whether his father (and thus on behalf of his family) pretended to accept Islam before fleeing from Islamic terrorists to save their lives, or they simply fled.
This entire speculation was dreamt up because Rambam gave encouragement to Yemenite Jews who were being forced to convert or be beheaded by Muslims, to save their lives, based on halachic justification, by pretending to say the Shahada (not actually converting) and then remaining Jews in secret or otherwise.
Now the clowns have morphed their claim from "Rambam was defending his father's actions" to "Rambam actually did this himself" to "Rambam actually converted!"
These people are sick in the head.
There is a reason they hate Rambam. Because if we followed his teachings, our enemies would be destroyed.

The kaaba is the place pagans would go to worship their stone idols and mohammad left a stone in the kaaba to attract pagans to his new copycat fraud religion. Islam like xtianity was created to destroy us, steal our heritage and reinvent it, it is everything horrible including a form of pagan idolatry.
