I've decided that after a short hiatus from JTF, and while I'm trying to recover from yet another spell of being sick, I'll spend some time trying to get 1,000 posts on JTF.
So... ask me some questions! :)
Not guaranteeing that they will be answered, but why not.
HAHAHAHAHAHA.
Ask me questions about my opinion especially about current events, my likes/dislikes.
Areas of "expertise"/interest include: food, bioethics, international/domestic politics (obviously), celebrities, Japan, North Korea, travel, the cocaine trade (especially via Miami), Chaim & David, and laughing with/at people.
If you have interesting info or questions about those topics, please post ; )
Please, make me laugh. Post a joke, especially if it's something Chaim has said, or a funny picture.
(To cheer me up, I'm sick again)

Shalom Xoce,
(Starting with the basics) How the heck do you pronounce your name and what is the meaning behind it?
Shalom Dan,
Well, it's not my real name... I don't know exactly how to pronounce it either, to tell you the truth. "cksose" is how I pronounce it, rhyming with close (close as in near, not as in close the door).
Other people, I think Chaim included have pronounced it "X.O. see" which is like ecstasy. That's kind of cool.
There's a little story behind it, and my brother is the inspiration, but blah it's boring. Basically, I like the letters :D

Not the source of my name.

Is it true that you are only one year old?
-
That is what you put on your page here, thats why I ask...
-
Is it true that you are only one year old?
Haha, yes, I am a one-year-old prodigy.
:P
I can totally walk now. I could type before I could walk.
I still prefer mushy food to solid food, but that is just a personal preference.

I like coffee from Colombia.
I don't like Starbucks coffee, but every time I hear they are being boycotted by muzzlims, I go out and buy a cup.
My favorite coffee is:
with colombian beans, of course... although I like this as well:
(http://asfinefood.com/images/Lavazza_Qualita_Oro.jpg) (Lavazza)
freshly ground
mild
freshly brewed
with
plenty of cream, (raw) sugar, and a shot of almond syrup, or almond roca syrup.
and not too hot, because I hate burning my tongue.
a little whipped cream on top is nice.
I like it in a glass such as this, so I can make sure the color is just right. And to make sure the sugar is dissolved. If not, no problem, I will have a sweet, crunchy last couple of sips.
I also like it iced. And then I use a straw, and drink the sugar with the coffee and chew the sugar. THAT IS HOW I LIKE IT. :P
I have never had a cavity in my life!

Hah, first of all ? ? ? young teenage girl ? ? ? hmmmm... where did you get that idea?
And no, I am not going to disclose my age.
(I am a 1 year old)
NO!!!!!!!!! I DISLIKE HANNA. (I assume you mean hannah montana or whatever)
Gross.
Disgusting.
She looks like a Ms. Potato head.
I can't stand her, and she is a filthy slut and her "parents" encourage her slut-hood, and she has the audacity to parade her slut-hood even in church.
She has a much older underwear "model" boyfriend who sleeps over at her house.
How old is this slut? She poses quasi-naked. She wishes she will become the next lindsay Hoe-han lohan.
On the other hand, Aishu (Aishwarya Rai) is such a sweetheart, intelligent, educated, cultured, multilingual, and her parents were strict with her and she was obedient to her parents and she is GORGEOUS and BEAUTIFUL, married to a handsome man. :)
Am I correct?
But anyway, she is who I like.

I think HZ was talking about Hannah Montana aka Miley Cyrus. That is who I was talking about. I am not a fan of that "star." Most teenage and preteen girls in the US are fans of hers, she's some sort of Disney entertainer.
I was most certainly not talking about you, ~Hanna~. Of course I am your fan, as I am of all JTFers! :)

Do you like any Japanese cartoons? I do. My favorite growing up was Mysterious Cities of Gold. I also like some other series.
I liked Nausicaa, Kiki's Delivery Service, Grave of the Fireflies, Mononoke Hime, My Neighbor Totoro, and all other Miyazaki stuff I've seen. I also like Fushigi Yuugi, Magic Knights Rayearth, Gankutsuou, Vampire Hunter D (original is better), Hellsing, Trinity Blood, Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien, Tenchi, Trigun, Wolf's Rain, Spice and Wolf, Inu Yasha, Dragon Half, Those Who Hunt Elves, Belle and Sebastian, and probably others I can't remember right now.

I love Tottoro! What memories. Of course, Miyazaki is a genius. Have you seen Spirited Away? It was kind of a big hit even in the US fairly recently.
You have seen more than I have, that is for sure. ;D
My favorite character(s) in Spirited Away were the little coal-helpers. :) SOOOOOOOOOOOO Cute!!!

I wish Chaim could share more stories from the past but I understand why he can't. I always find those to be especially fascinating too. He's lived an amazing life and had lots of great accomplishments for his people.
Xoce I would like to ask what is your favorite type of animal.

Good question. I like dogs. They are loyal, smart, loving, and good. :)
I like other animals, too, but wouldn't really know what I'd do if I had a pet dolphin or something.
I would like a dog, an outside dog. Animals don't belong in the house in my opinion. They should be allowed to roam free. At one of my residences I have a dog that gets to do that, free to hunt and play across miles and miles. ;D

Ok, how about the dish that you cook most often. Just pick one.
GNOCCHI CON RAGU DI GAMBERI
1 kg potato (about 2 1/4 lbs)
200 g flour (about 1/2 lb)
1 egg yolk
50 g (1 3/4 oz) Parmesan cheese
1 spring onion
1 red chili
2 tiger prawns, raw
1 garlic clove
50 ml (1/8 pint) tomato sauce
For the potato dumplings:
Boil potatoes without peeling, then remove skins and mash, as you would make mashed potatoes. After potatoes are mashed return to hot pan briefly and shake over low heat to dry them slightly for a minute or two.
Combine flour, egg yolk, and Parmesan cheese. In a pan, sauté the garlic clove in a little olive oil, until lightly golden brown, then add sliced spring onions, tiger pawns in little pieces, and after a few minutes, tomato sauce.
Season with salt, pepper, and chives. Boil the dumplings for 3 minutes and simmer in the sauce before serving.
---------------
BARBECUED BUTTERFLIED CHUCK STEAK
boneless center-cut chuck steak, butterflied
sea salt
freshly cracked black pepper
garlic powder
1 large onion, thinly sliced
about 3/4 cup dry red wine
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon freshly minced parsley
1 clove garlic, crushed
Have your butcher butterfly the steak to a 1 inch thickness.
Season steak on both sides with cracked black pepper and sea salt. Place steak and onions in a ziploc bag or stainless steel pan and pour over enough wine to almost cover; cover, chill, and marinate overnight. Remove meat from marinade. Sprinkle with garlic powder and grill over hot charcoal to desired doneness.
Heat the marinating onions in wine. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes with parsley, and crushed garlic. Remove from heat and stir in butter. Serve steak topped with onions and drizzled with sauce.
Makes 3 to 4 servings.

Hi Xoce, being this the "ask Xcoe" thread here's a question:
Did you ever stepped into a space-time distortion and noticed how everything outside the distortion seems to move super fast or super slow ?
-
Why do you think Jindahl would be a good president?
Why not Jim Demint?
-
Hi Xoce, being this the "ask Xcoe" thread here's a question:

I have no concept of time.
-
Why do you think Jindahl would be a good president?
Why not Jim Demint?
Jindal because he is very intelligent & conservative.
Demint, I am not very aware of him.
