Title: A note on the translation of ruach hakodesh
Post by: Hrvatski Noahid on July 17, 2021, 11:48:28 PM
I saw that Wikipedia translates ruach ha-kodesh as holy spirit. By contrast, Rabbi Weiner and Dr. Schulman translate it as holy inspiration in Seven Gates of Righteous Knowledge, page 85. The latter translation is obviously better because it shuns Christian theological baggage.

The first one is the literal translation.
