Although there are some things about Savage that certainly can annoy people, he is MUCH, MUCH better than Limbaugh, Hannity and O'Reilly. Chaim aside, there is nobody who has the ability to inform and entertain quite like him.
The political situation in America hasn't been this bad in quite some time. Between Nancy Pelosi, Hillary Clinton, Al Gore, Jimmy Carter on the communist-socialist left and all the checkered pants Rockefeller Republicans on the 'right', Savage's commentary is head and shoulders over the rest.

Agreed, as much as I feel that he is a self-hating Jew, he's great for new information and entertainment. Best political commentator out there next to Chaim..

He's a very imperfect being. He freely admits it. That makes him more like us all. He doesn't pretend to be higher than the rest of us, as so many in politics and the media do.

Dr. Savage covers a lot of ground on his show, and I don't know anyone that uses words as well as he does. The man is smart. ;)

When my brother in law told me he like Micheal Savage I Told him he was an anti -semite.But I Listen sometimes and Im just not sure. :-\

Re: "...The man is smart..."
He's smart, but consistently inconsistent.
About every two weeks or so he does a full 360 degree flip-flop on a major issue on which he's built up his listenership.
First he announced his candidacy for President; stating that he was "mulling" a run as an independant, but that he had to receive "x" amount of listener votes on his website first.
He received even more votes than his minimum, then declared that he was "only mulling over the possibility"; so if he could get double the number of votes (20 million), he would get serious about it.
Then he received over 22 million, and declared "I am not a politician!...I am a talk-show host!...I would never run for office!".
This week, the "Party Line" is changed to "I Michael Savage will personally decide who is to win the Presidency".
Word to the wise from MassuhD -- Have your faith in G-d, because Savage is going to let you down bigtime any day now.

He speaks very passionately and is eloquent but never lose site of the fact that he is an entertainer whose livelihood depends on ratings, first and foremost. He just happens to have picked a political radio talk show as his entertainment medium.
And I believe you mean he does a full 180 degree flip-flop. If he did a 360, he'd be right back where he started.
-
I think a 360 would be more fun! :)
-
"...a 360 would be more fun!..."
It actually is a 360, because after the 180, he starts again the next day with the original position!
HiWarp summed it up: "...entertainer whose livelihood depends on ratings, first and foremost..."
p.s.-- I stand corrected on the degrees, but it's only fair that if the Lubavitcher Rebbe can prove conclusively that the Sun revolves around the Earth, then Massuh can claim that 360 degrees is one complete flip-flop! :D

Ha, you're not going to draw me into the geo- vs helio- centric argument again. ;D

I think Micheal Savage is Great... He at least makes attempts to do the right thing!
He might not be as consistent but he's better than anybody else that has a Mass Audience, he should be an ally rather than a foe of JTF.

His real name is Michael Alan Weiner :::D

It's true that Savage hasn't been a beacon of clarity on the matter of his running. I was particularly put off how he stated (as you say) time and again that he'd never run, and then, out of the blue, went on his show and let it be known that he'd announced somewhere else that he was definitely interested. I felt that he owed it to his loyal fans to let us be the first to know.
I also get a bit amused when he implores people to buy his (wonderful) books and adds, "... it won't affect my bank account one way or the other ..." LOL.
The other day he had a great show going and then a lady called in saying something about a heartbreaking thing happened in which she'd prayed fervently for her son whom was dying, and that just when things were really turning around, and with her hopes sky-high, he died.
I found what she was trying to relate was very compelling, but Dr. Savage asked her to get to the bottom line (even though she'd barely gotten two words out) and so when she paused for no more than two seconds, he cut her off and said something about his phone screener was doing a lousy job.
What made me feel really bad for her was that it "seemed" like God had set her up to hurt her in a most cruel way (though we'll never know because she didn't get to finish relating the details) and then here she gets lucky and is able to get through to the brilliant Savage only to be coldly cut off!
She didn't deserve to be treated like that.
Dr. Savage, like all of us, sure isn't perfect; but from his "overallness" I find him to be a pretty amazing guy.
-
She was killing the vibe of his whole show and there really was no point to her call. The phone screeners should never have allowed her on.

We disagree.
A "vibe" doesn't mean much to me, but a heartfelt account of what goes on in people's lives does. For the amount of time that Dr. Savage spent denigrating his phone screener, the lady could have given her story and Savage could have responded accordingly.

I must admit my Savage listening experience is limited at best, however, the times I have been able to listen, usually in the car, I have found that I agree with much of what he says. He's sort of like Chaim light. He can only go so far because he does have a highly paid position in radio where he is under a high degree of PC scrutiny. I do know that he is Jewish and probably better than 99 percent of the commentators out there. I think Chaim is not a fan because he has stolen some of his themes/ideas, and he also probably feels Savage does not go far enough, but again that is probably because of the fact that he doesn't want to get fired. In that sense, he could be viewed as a sellout, but as far as the establishment goes, he is still probably one of the better options out there.

Ari, That's absolutely how I feel about him!
I think think that he might be the break we need to get more media exposure... Has anybody from our movement try contacting Savage or his people? Let's give it a shot, whatta say! O0

I still can't decide.I was duped by Rush, fooled again by o"rielly and Hannity is a goosssss American. There not getting this guy ,so easy again.LOL DTA

I think it would be worth a shot to contact Savage again. Sadly, it probably wouldn't do any good though, as I doubt he would be willing to have Chaim on the same airwaves. Chaim would no doubt carry the day, and Savage likely does not have the ego to deal with this. Still, it couldn't hurt.
