Rep. Heath Shuler has just introduced the SAVE Act (H.R. 4088), legislation that will broaden and enhance border security and interior enforcement. And it would mandate that ALL empolyers use a proven system to weed out illegal aliens. With more than 100 border security Republicans and Democrats already agreeing to co-sponsor, this bipartisan effort may be Congress’s best chance to achieve substantial immigration reform with this Congress.

I think he's a Democrat. I'm surprised that he doesn't take the same position as Pelosi .
