on this weeks article it said that 500 muslim terroists were trades by sharon for one jew who was self hating. while i agree never to release murderers. i also do not like it how it said self hating jew. who cares if the israeli taken captive is self hating he is still a jew in tremendous pain. to me it does not matter if that soldier was a tzadik or a self hating jew if he risked his life for israel by serving in the army we as jews should treat him as any other soldier no matter his observance or political views. no israeli soldier deserves what happened no matter how leftist

He went to Beirut to buy narcotics from Arab dealers so that he could smuggle it into Israel and sell it to his fellow Jews. His Arab drug-dealing "friends" then took him hostage. i agree with you in this case since he was a drug dealer but i dont think a jews observance or political view should have to do with how we rescue him. i do agree that we should do anything and i mean anything in order to free our captured prisoners
