Try using Quicktime Pro, you have to have the Pro I'm sure, and then go to file and export the file to IPod or MPEG-4 or DivX.

Yes, i'm quite sure. Also, if that doesn't work try converting to Movie to Windows Media .wmv or .avi file. Youtube allows many video formats.

So you're sure the youtube server converts the file to .flv itself; without spoiling or degrading the movie?

The quality will stay the same if it's a good quality .avi file. I'm not sure about the .flv. I know youtube converts the files though because you rip them from youtube they are always .flv

Yep that's why I want to find a converter to .flv, to prevent quality-loss.
But now I made a mp4-file, shrinked to 25 MB,
and check if it works.

erightsoft's SUPER is free and will convert just about anything to anything:

YouTube converted the video to a .flv-video
with:
A: Sorenson H.263
V: Mpeg layer 3 22kHz
25 frames/sec
313kb/sec.
Quality doesn't alter drastically.
