As candidates for city and state government line up for office, some challengers come from unlikely places, and others, from unheard-of parties.
Vito Vaccaro, 23, a real estate agent with offices in Astoria, is a candidate for the state Assembly in the 26th District, running on the Loyalist Party platform. The Loyalists, a group founded in California under the banner “border defense before anything else,” have just one candidate running in New York.

Though they claim to be the fastest growing third party in the country, with just over 7,000 members in less than a year of existence, they have a steep climb in New York.
“The best place to start building America is at the local level,” Vaccaro said. “I’ve watched — not my neighborhood but other neighborhoods — get worse because of the failure of politicians.”
Vaccaro admitted that while he is new to the political arena, he likes his chances in the 26th District because he feels it is one of the most conservative areas in the borough.
“I actually have a very good chance here. This is one of the most conservative districts here or anywhere else out there. It’s just a matter of getting my word out.”
Vaccaro believes that between senior citizens and war veterans, votes won’t be difficult to come by during his campaign, because the conservative electorate in the area has long lacked a candidate to support.
“The Republican party in Queens is a joke,” he said. “People have been screaming for a real conservative candidate and they haven’t gotten one.”
Vaccaro is attempting to run against Democrat Ann-Margaret Carrozza, an entrenched incumbent who has a wide base of support in her district.
The Loyalist platform contains some admittedly anti-Islamic and stringently anti-illegal immigration ideals, many of which would appear to make Vaccaro’s candidacy a pipe dream in a city where 36 percent of the population is foreign-born, according to the 2000 census.
Vaccaro, however, is more focused on the 26th District than anything else.
“We have to push our message in the more conservative areas, mostly in Queens, rather than trying to push in areas where people won’t listen.”

Yes, thats the strategy.  Have the press focus on these two issues (even negatively), and this will get the attention of many fed up Americans.

If they know who you are, that's a start, the next thing to do is start talking to them.

Yes, Vito, talk to anyone who is interested, welcome to politics. Just be careful, not all will be on your/our side.
You will start getting noticed more and more, just wait until the muzzies start hearing about you.
You have some great support here at JTF. Now, if we can only find a few more groups like JTF, UAC and NYICE, we will have the army of volunteers that Vito will need in just a few short months.
Those yo-yo's attacking the Loyalists at Thirdpartywatch are just frustrated that they belong to a party that has been around since 1992 and has gone nowhere. They keep changing their name to make it seem like they are a new party, besides being islam apologists.

Glad to see you're getting the word out, Vito.  You have time to cover some ground before next November.  Good luck.

Vito, I got your text message about going to the ramada when you were speaking. I just forgot to respond. I am real busy. Also my parents go "Ape" if I drive or anything on Shabbat so I wouldn't of been able to make it. Hope it went well.
