That's not The Belgian Flag.

No it is the Flemish flag. Belgium is a artificially created country in 1830.
Flanders is about 1200 years now.

We want to become independent.

the real Flemish flag looks like this:

Because someone changed the tongue & claws into red, to resemble the belgian flag.

we call this flag "de Jeanette-Leeuw"

Tigers are bigger, they are the biggest of the large cat family.
