Title: Is anyone watching the Republican debates right now?
Post by: judeanoncapta on January 10, 2008, 10:05:20 PM
I just saw a back and forth between Ron Paul and Mike Huckabee on the subject of Israel.

Chaim, I don't want to hurt your feelings but Ron Paul sounded exactly like you.

I'm beginning to question Chaim's opposition to Ron Paul.

Why shouldn't we support Paul?

Because he may be an anti-semite?!?!?!?!

Nixon was a HUGE anti-semite and Rabbi Kahane supported him.

Chaim, if you are on the forum, please chime in.

I do agree that his preoccupation with the feelings of Muslims is disturbing but so is Rudy's and all the other candidates' obsession with saying that Islam is a "hijacked" religion.

I find both equally PC and deplorable.

Re:  "...I'm beginning to question Chaim's opposition to Ron Paul..."

A very great number of non-Jews have no place in their life for Jewish matters.
It's not necessarily that they "hate" Jews or "hate" anyone else; but they were raised in a totally non-Jewish environment, knew or associated with few if any Jewish people, and quite frankly just never have given much thought to Jewish people.

Then, there are the full-time "professional" Jew-haters (formerly known as "anti-Semites").  These folks despise even the word "Jew", have a psychosis based on the delusional thinking that the Jew is in control of any and all matters, preventing anything good from ever being accomplished, and actively working to destroy decent societies.  These kinds of people are far less a threat to Jews than the next variety in the upcoming paragraph, because they aren't hiding any feelings from anyone.

The true danger to Jews, that which is most dangerous, comes from those who know something about the Jews, were schooled and raised around Jews, and are seemingly "friendly" and "cordial" when in our presence.  Yet, behind their handshakes and smiles, is a subconscious contempt and jealousy for us which they know is to never be revealed in polite company.  A classic example of this type:  President Bush.  He has damaged the Jews today more than all the blatant Jew-Haters in America could have ever done; all with smiles, handshakes, and exchanges of gifts.  I fail to see how Ron Paul, if he were elected President, could have done more damage to Jews than Bush with all of his praise, money, and "support" has done today.  With "friends" like Bush, you don't need "anti-Semites" to worry about.

Paul looked horrible when he was commenting on Israel.  I could tell he was on the defense, but he looked very confused.

We all know Paul is an antisemite, but he's also a bit of a wacko, and he entertains weird conspiracy theories.  I wouldn't be surprised if he's a history denier as well.

Yeah, Ron Paul was just saving face. There is no point even talking about him. He's completely out of touch with reality in regards to foriegn affairs. And most importantly, he stands zero chance of winning.

The reason Paul can't be supported is because he is a Nazi anti semite and he is trying to sugarcoat the nazi message. While he would claim to seperate from the region, being an anti semite, he will work to destroy israel. After watching Huckabee talk about Israel tonight, I now can completely understand why Chaim supports him and I think Chaim has shown his wisdom as always. While I still support Duncan Hunter, I surely hope Huckabee wins over all the other republicans.
