Mine has to be amazing progressive power metal band DragonForce:
with the speed that Herman Li works the riffs and hooks it is any wonder he has fingers left to play with... some good songs to look out for are:
Valley of the Damned
Operation Ground and Pound
Through fire and flames
Body Breakdown ......... and
REVOLUTION DEATHSQUAD
-
Led Zeppelin and Three Doors Down
-
Steve Vai w/ david lee roth
-
I think that when it comes to "new age" metal, Sweden tends to have the upper hand on anywhere else... In Flames, Opeth and Soilwork are examples of these
-
Earth, Wind and Fire
Montana
Mint Condition
And when I'm in the mood to rock out, KISS
-
I regard the multi-million-$-musicians as the biggest enemies of all. To hell with them.
-
70's Rock and Roll Baby! Yah!
-
The Beatles are the greatest rock band of all time.
Still, they aren't worthy of shining Beethoven's shoes.
-
Metallica, Iron maiden, AC/DC, WASP
-
I like Led Zeppelin and lots of rock and lots of 80s music too.
Of course Zeppelin is wonderful. If only they didn't have that awful singer, Robert Plant. He sounds like someone's killing a cat.
John Bonham is the Great rock drummer. Pure testosterone and no nonsense.

AC/DC and WASP are terrible.
Steve Harris is awesome.
I met Lars Ulrich once.
-
Guitar Hero III has elevated Dragonforce's popularity into the stratosphere.
Dark Tranquillity > In Flames and Soilwork when it comes to gothenburg metal imo. I never got into Opeth, too boring, there must be something I'm "missing".
-
I like most Merle Haggard, Tori Amos and Georg Friedrich Handel.

Opeth are amazing, anyone who hasn't at least heard them is really missing out...
their songs seem depressing but there talent in blending each song uncompromising on how they feel is phenomenal.. they have the ability from changing angry to sad/ lifeless to hopeful and with that comes extremely poetic lyrics that even Shakespeare would be proud of...

The Seekers or maybe The Mamas and the Papas.

This song from 1971 ( I don't need no doctor) gets me so pumped, I just can't tell you. This live version by Humble Pie is the best I've heard. The guitar is so raw, and the singing by Steve Mariott blows me away!
Check it out:

Matter of fact, Humble Pie used to open for Grand Funk Railroad.
-
Check this song out by Grand Funk Railroad 1972. Bet you never heard of this one! If you like brass, you'll dig this!

Donny Brewer is the guy sitting down on drums. He's my favorite drummer of all time. The lead singer Mark farner, was standing playing drums.
-
My favorite singer: Mark Farner--- Check this tune out. What a powerhouse song!

I bought Mark Farner's biography. He said he has some Jewish blood in him. I was always hoping he was one of our people laugh:
-
not double, not triple. but Sixtimeposts:D It is a new record! :D:D

I hope that you realise that some of your favourite bands are promoting anti-religious ideas trough their lyrics/lifestyle...
-
