Title: Jewish warfare. Halachic inquiry
Post by: Kahane-Was-Right BT on April 03, 2008, 01:29:34 AM
I was wondering if we could start a topic devoted to the halacha regarding Jewish warfare.  Topics range from Amalek, to regular enemies, to milchemet mitzvah, to treatment of captured/civilians, enemy territory, what is permitted against enemy forces with what limitations in brutality if any, etc.   I know little on this topic but would really like to explore it in depth and find out in the Torah how war is really supposed to be fought.  All input welcome, please comment in here anyone with knowledge on the subject.

Check Ore Harayon - Rabbi Kahane's book. Their is 2 volumes (I believe this is in volume 2). It is wayy too much information to type in a post, but you can learn a lot definitly.
