I remember creating a JTF starcraft map. Obviously the Zerg were the Muslims. The over overlord was a Muslim Nazi Woman that would continuously span suicide bombers. As the game was played, messages from the JTF website would show up.
My brother and I also broadcasted JTF programs in some games with a VoIP feature. This would make a lot of people angry, but a few agreed with the message.

search the following game...GTA4 ......which answers all your questions. And yes, you are absolutely correct about the language and s x.
But it's not restricted to games...turn of the games and one goes and sit in front of the TV,and once again same stroy >:(
-
Video games have come a long way since Pacman, and generally these games are targetted for children. During Christmas almost every commercial on TV are video games and they do have ratings like the movies now but some of them are just completely wild.
-
yes, like everything else it has been perverted >:(
-
And thing is, the more violent and the more the language on the games are well not suited for children the more they push those games and during hours where children are watching tv to get their appetite on that game. I don't care if children do play games but these games are a bit over doing for kids. They got some for these consoles that they should be considered X rated. I have a young nephew and neices there is no way in the world I would allow them and their parents my siblings wouldn't allow it.
They want by all means to mess kids up

Im only 19 but I like old games like Tetris and Galaga.
Anything simple keeps me happy. I dont like games like GTA

Video Games are ok within reason, I find many of the themes are encouraging, people to be immoral.
Needless to say My mums favorite game on X box is Finding Nemo :::D
I brought her an x box last year 8;)

My mum is 64 nearly 65. It took her 2 years to learn how to use a video recorder then there was not stopping her. Now I have brought her a satellite TV dish, X Box, Computer and IPod.
I created a monster.
Even tho she is dying she likes new and interesting things :)
Its never too late 8;)

Ah fond memories, my mother hated it, but I played them regardless. Heck my grandpa was the one who introduced me to Doom.
I have xbox 360, anyone who has Live, add my usertag

Games are great if you're unemployed, I used to play an old game called Starsiege Tribes and it got me addicted :(
If you have never played games you shouldn't start, games will affect your grades and performance at your job.

Yes she sick, but has out lived what the doctors excepted her too.
I nurse her at home with me. Thats where she wants to be, with her family.
We see death differently to others.
We don't see it as a bad thing, it just is what will happen.
It is G-ds will.

Minus Quake and with the addition of starcraft and streetfighter II, those were exactly the games that I grew up with. Doom was novel at the time because of the multiplayer capability. I was just is interested in setting up the network as I was playing the game. I used to use serial cables(which I had to build) to connect two computers.
-
Doom 3 and Quake are great I used to play those a lot, especially at night with my huge DJ headphones on like a madman lol. Doom 3 was by far the scariest game I played in my life :)

Give your take on how video games effect people..

What is your opinon
chinese games are very innocent, like mario, sonic, e.t.c
but american games like street fighter, mortal kombat, and later, grand theft auto, all had violence. Now with improved graphics, the violence is more real, and they have more sexually themed games.
I don`t think the cartoony violence in street fighter or mortal kombat is harmful..
We live in this world, it is good to be good at violence - to deal with bad guys. Video games don`t actually teach that!
They might keep bad people off the streets..
When I played games though, they were so withdrawm from reality, you couldn`t imitate it in reality. You could imitate WWF wrestling a bit, sometimes.
-
Mario isn't Chinese, he's Japanese...
Well actually, he's an ethnic Italian, but his creators are Japanese. ;D
Anyway one of my favorite games is Spyro the Dragon.
I also like Jak and Daxter and Final Fantasy VII
-
I have a Gamecube that I hardly use

Um, mario, and sonic were Japanese, not Chinese. China really doesn't produce any console games or systems that i'm aware of.
Oh I also forgot to add Half-Life, one of the best FPS's I played.

ok..
point being then that games produced by the japanese tended to be innocent, whereas ones produced by americans were more violent of sexual.
japanese and chinese have an innocent, respectful, polite culture.. And the games they (japanese) produce are very different to the american ones.
I read of that point in a magazine (probably TOTAL Nintendo magazine, around 1993 - give or take a year or two)

for all those that can, it's a JTF duty to get the following game...FarCry2 ;)

Yeah Farcry 2 looks awsome, and you get to fight in Africa, I don't understand why almost all the enemies are white though, I guess it's not politically correct to be able to kill blacks in a game.

Ahh well, everytime I play GTA Vice City, I run over the black gangs or take the F-16 and bomb the neighborhood. Too bad it's only a game.

Yep got it preordered. I want a Nintendo Wii too, think i'll buy one on ebay since their so damn hard to find in stores now.

GTA represents the savage culture that JTF is against. Doom is like a rocksong. GTA is like rap. We should not patronize what GTA tries to encourage.
-
completely agree
-
The games i like to play are Military games Boxing, ufc, and hunting games
-
Video games are addicting. They are like gambling or drinking and should be done in moderation.
-
doom or gta never encouraged me to violence.
maybe they are more realistic now and it is different. (I did see a realistic one where you can beat up girls on a beach. quite sick)
exposure to these things isn't harmful to any normal/decent person. that's my experience anyway. But was when those games were cartoony.
wwf might have made me more aggressive or harnessed it, but it used an aggression where you don't really hurt the other person. It was useful to be able to flip people upside down!
(though since steve austin, it is all about bad attitude). And in the days I watched it, you had goodies and baddies, right and wrong. But I know wcw went through a patch of hulk hogan flipping from good guy to bad guy.
I don't see harm in discussing them or suggesting them as good games (for those that play games). we are all sane, and it is just chat, not serious policy.
if you want to be serious then suggest alternatives to games! I found the internet to be an alternative. Still involves time-wasting though! Maybe worse than games !

I fail to see how it's any different than a movie, it's just entertainment like anything.

I like the old-time arcade games from the 1980's.

Sim tower was a great game and so were the sim city games. I still have some of the games loaded in my old IBM computer and enjoy playing them from time to time. MasterWolf1 just gave me a fun idea for sim city. I am going to start a muzzie city and put the setting in that allow every sort of disaster possible and never make repairs. The muzzies should be right at home ;)

Needless to say, this is a topic that's quite the hot potato... There's different views and opinions... And heck, that's what make this place such an incredible cyber address... I believe if a child spends countless unproductive hours on video games, the parent has every right to pull the plug, grab the video game and throw it in a boiling bucket of water... Sure, maybe the use of video games is acceptable in moderation, but with today's kids (and even some adults) becoming so brainlessly "addicted" to video games, it's high time that those among the "sane" population let the "addicted" know that it's NOT alright when they spend ridiculous amounts of hours wasting life away on a couple buttons and a "joy stick"...

The Tony Hawk series are pretty good

Sounds like Bloomberg is having a cow over GTA4 taking place in New York City. Just gives me more reason for buying it, can't wait for the 29th.
After the release of the first trailer, New York City officials were appalled with the choice of their city as the inspiration for the setting of Grand Theft Auto IV, and said that a game like GTA does not represent the city's crime levels accurately.[76] A spokesperson for Mayor Michael Bloomberg said, "The mayor does not support any video game where you earn points for injuring or killing police officers".[77] As a response, Jason Della Rocca, executive director of the International Game Developers Association, accused New York City officials of double standards, for criticising video games but not other forms of entertainment, such as books, films and television shows, which use New York City as the setting.[78]

We are playing the LEGO starwars games for ps2.
It is kind of tricky. I thought it would be easy. :-[
Does anyone know of co play games...that aren't very violent.

Mrs. Zelnick
Strauss Zelnick, Take-Two Chairman’s Mother
New York, New York Via e-mails to intermediaries
Re: Your Son, Strauss Zelnick
Dear Mrs. Zelnick:
Your son, as you may know (or maybe you don’t know), is Chairman of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc., whose most popular video games are the Grand Theft Auto murder simulator games banned in some countries but sold to children here.
Your son last week was reported to have said the following about Grand Theft Auto IV, due to be released Tuesday, April 29:
“We’ve already received numerous [GTA IV] reviews, and to a one, they are perfect scores. My mom couldn’t write better reviews…”
Taking your son’s thought, I would encourage you either to play this game or have an adroit video gamer play it for you. Some of the latter gamers are on death row, so try to find one out in the civilian population who hasn’t killed someone yet.
What you will see in your son’s game, if this iteration of GTA is anything like its predecessors, is incredible interactive violence aimed at police officers (whom you can shoot in the head and see the blood spray), innocent bystanders (whom you can run over with your car just for the heck of it), and of course the plentiful female prostitutes you can have *** with and then filet with a knife or stomp with your feet in order to get your money back. Experts note that the recent plethora of cop killings is caused in part by your darling son’s entrepreneurial energy. There are three policemen dead in Alabama because of Grand Theft Auto. I was on 60 Minutes about it. I hope Strauss has provided you with a flat screen tv to see the grief of the bereaved families that fills the screen.
The pornography and violence that your son trafficks in is the kind of stuff that most mothers would be ashamed to see their son putting into the hands of other mothers’ children, but, hey, your son Strauss has recently assured the world that he is “a Boy Scout, everybody knows that.” I’d love to see the merit badges that Scout Troop handed out. Is there a Ted Bundy merit badge? If so, your loving son deserves one now. It should be red and green, for obvious reasons.
With Passover having just come and gone, it is appropriate to note the following from the Tanach, Proverbs 22:6:
“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”
Mrs. Zelnick, did you train up your son, Strauss, to make millions of dollars by pushing Mature-rated video games to children? Any kid can go right to little Strauss’ corporate web site and buy GTA IV with no age verification. Strauss is even marketing the new Grand Theft Auto IV on World Wrestling Entertainment tv shows seen by millions of kids. If you trained up Strauss to do this, then shame on you.
But maybe the explanation for your son’s corporate sociopathy is to be found in Tanach Proverb 29:15:
“The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame.”
Maybe you, Mrs. Zelnick, were so taken by your handsome son that you spared the rod and spoiled the child. That would explain why he has brought you, by the way he presently acts, “to shame.”
There’s another mother you would do well to talk to. Mrs. Crump in Alabama had a son who was a police officer. He’s now dead because a teenaged boy unwittingly trained himself to kill him on Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. She has a grief she carries every day that only a mother can know. There are other such mothers in the heartland of America whose inhabitants your son simply sees as commercial targets.
Your son, this very moment, is doing everything he possibly can to sell as many copies of GTA IV to teen boys in the United States, a country in which your son claims you raised him to be “a Boy Scout.” More like the Hitler Youth, I would say.
Happy Mother’s day, Mrs. Zelnick, which this year is May 11, two weeks after your son unleashes porn and violence upon other mothers’ boys. I’m sure you’re very proud.
Sincerely, Jack Thompson
