When new people want to register on our great Hebrew forum, this is the new Hebrew video that Israelis see.
And yes, I wear a suit in this video.
Here's the video on flix:

You look great in the suit. :) Hopefully an Israeli lady will see this video and fall in love.
-
All you need now is MK next to your name..... ;)
-
Very handsome! O0 I would like to see you in another kippa, though, not a white one but a navy blue or black one which would be more formal.
Your hair is perfect. That is the way it should be combed. You can go even shorter after the sefirah is over but that style looks right.
Sorry to criticize I just want you to look your best for our new audience. This is very exciting stuff.
-
Chaim looks great in the suit however his videos are always top notch no matter what he is wearing. Personally I like when Chaim dresses casually in the English speaking videos.
-
Very good
-
Looking sharp, Chaim. O0

Chaim- ya look FABULOUS.
My little buddy, Sophia-- she said so too. ::) She 'says' she tried to register on jtf, and her IP would not let her- in Hebrew, or English- she also said that she would 'sincerely' like to dialogue with you.. she asked for your email, OR for me to give you hers-- whataya think? Fuggedaboutit- or- see whats what?

First of all, I welcome criticism. Our goal is to do what is most effective for the cause. And as all of you can see, I know NOTHING about style or fashion. My objective is to look simple, neat and professional.
It may be hard to tell while on camera, but my kippa is the knitted type traditionally worn by Jews who live in Judea and Samaria. The whitish color is the favorite of Sephardic Jews. But that's not why I wear a white kippa. When I wore a darker kippa, on camera it was hard to tell that I was wearing a kippa at all because it blended in with my brown hair. I want everyone to clearly see that I am wearing a kippa and that this is a Torah-true organization.
Thank you lubab and thank you to everyone for taking the time to offer an opinion. We want to make this as effective as possible.

Looks great!

On flix and youtube, I always dress casually because people who dress casually are the ones who get the most views.
Thanks cjd.

Do be honest, I'm not really sure how you should look, Chaim. It's not just what you wear, but also the background...if you are sitting or if you are standing, etc. However, your messages are true and are very strong and come straight from your heart...that's what wins with me and real human beings.

This is wonderful Chaim, if I was a muslim piece of drek, I would be [censored] in my pants because you will soon be the PM of Israel and the muzzies will be getting what they have deserved for quite some time. You look great in the video Chaim and it will be pretty hard for anyone who sees the video not to join jtf. Thanks so much for the great work Chaim.
-
Chaim, you look GREAT!
-
Looking sharp, Chaim.
Just go with what works. I remember the ask jtf where you said the more formal looking videos didn't seem to work any better. This is good for an intro video for the ads, but if the weekly videos get more members and views without a fancy suit, go with whatever works the best. Best wishes.
-
Classic suit, Chaim O0
-
It's a good look for you Chaim. It will attract more people to the movement that could be turned off
-
Sounds good. Maybe a knitted light gray would do the trick. It is formal as well as noticeable. I just don't think a white kippah looks good on a light skinned person and I do know a thing or two about style (I used to be very into this stuff).
I also always tell people to wear windsor knots rather than half-nelsons as that always looks much better. Some people just wear full windsors for interviews but it really looks much better every day of the week and there is not reason not to do it.

Chaim, I originally saw this video on ZooTube. What can I say that hasn't been said already? It's a very professional and very stylish look. It's very GQ and gives you the "look" of a leader. I would have worn a solid color tie though and accessorized the outfit with a nice leather strap watch.
Lubab, good stuff.
-
You are just great! EXCELLENT!!!
-
Chaim, I think you should consider making some changes when you wear a suit and go for a more formal approach. A simpler background puts all the focus on the speaker, and while until now the image has been somewhat underground you might want to brighten your set since this is aiming for a wide audience.

In britain, the big white kippot tend to be worn by people that come to shul 3 times a year or less. They are the kippot that are given out at batmitzvas and weddings. (really probably for people that came without one!!)
The knitted kippot, one rarely sees in the diaspora(unless a settler has come back briefly, to visit his parents). The settler ones tend to have bigger holes in them though.. and no rim around it. Yours appears like the wedding/barmitzva ones.
With the exception of "holy ;-)" settler ones.. like rabbi binyamin kahane's.. People tend not to wear white ones.
Black is ideal.. It looks most normal, not eccentric. most people wear black ones. Nothing wrong with a black one.
Rabbi Meir Kahane, wore a black one.. you could wear one like his.
Maybe a medium sized black leather one..
the charedim have black velvet ones, but that might suggest anti zionist.. and on flix you are trying to appeal to secular israelis.
-
I tried wearing suits a few times one at my brothers wedding, I hate wearing ties. I am a much more casual dresser. But sometimes its good to dress sharp

I don't know what the JTF budget is like but a greenscreen can give you a background that would make you look like a real statesmen. It should be somewhere in the JTF priorties of "things to buy" if we seek to hit the masses. You can switch the background image to something more casual when appropriate like for Zootube videos.
Imagine if Chaim was as famous as a rockstar in Israel. Then Zootube would really have a hard time removing his videos. It would just be ridiculous.
-
Man you look great :)
Unfortunately I don't understand most of what you say in Hebrew :(
'Shmi Chaim Ben Pesach' = My name is Chaim Ben Pesach.
Millione Muslimi :(
-
Chaim you look Great in a suit! O0
Lubab has a great idea... I hope we can start to implement them in the near future for our growth will be 10X as Big!
-
You look handsome.

Lubab, even if JTF was a mass movement, Zootube would still take the videos down. They take down all of Michelle Malkins and Tom Tancredos videos too. They only allow Hamas videos on there now.

True, but I would get into Israel. If we had a mass movement, I don't believe they could continue to stop me. Everyone in Israel would know about my case, and what they did to me would be very unpopular among average Israelis.

Chaim, everyday I always hope that when I log into the forum, a sticky saying that you have finally been allowed to make aliyah to Israel would be posted. I really can't wait for that day.

Yes you look great O0

I have a suggestion about dressing for Chaim. Maybe this is not realistic for now, but something he might consider for the future. What about: neither suit nor casual. Instead - develop some kind of an outfit that is symbolic of the historical Israeli clothing, but modernized. You know, the way African and Arab leaders wear traditional clothes. Let us adopt something similar but historically specific for Israel. I am thinking of the clothes of the Sefardic Chief Rabbi that I saw in photographs. But less formal. Less gold embroidery and heavy velvet. Yet something festive and ceremonial to emphasize the unique character of the Jewish state. What do you all think?
-
Mainly black knitted kippot are work in the exile. Some wear smaller coloured kniited kippot. But in U.K that's it. Most do wer velvet materiel or satin or even swede. White in the U.S. is much more common. Those wo come to schul 3 time a year wear cardboard ones - like at the kotel! or satin/cloth ones! Those are crazy ones!!

this is not very relevant in exile. But some settlers do wear clothing based on what the ancient hebrews wore.. judeanoncapta(excuse spelling) mentioned it It`s not relevant to chaim though, even if he was standing for PM!
-

It might be something that would set him apart. Dressing in European clothes (suit and tie) for a non-European politician sends a message: "I am modern and Western. I am just like you. Don't be afraid of me." Choosing to be dressed in a unique, historically-based style would sent an opposite message. And that might be a good thing.
-
Suit looks great. Now you need to update the set to make it look more professional.

Now that is fabulous. I stated like about 2 years ago... O0
-
I think greenscreen will look a little immature.
Instead, i would decorate a wall in my apartment resempling the press room of White House.

Wow I like that!!! Chaim, you should wear Beged Ivri, what the ancient Jews wore in Eretz Yisrael!!!
-
The background is too messy, you should just have the flag over all the stuff and rabbi kahanes photo in front.
The suit and hair looks good.
Though a more casual and "underground" approach is more appealing, i think.
