I don't know to be honest.  There is an old and largely propagated myth that was left over from the effects of Hitler's "Operation Barbarossa" painting Hitler and Nazism as "Right Wing"... 

Sadly, thanks to the masses of Communist/Socialist/Liberal propaganda of the West to create a fond depiction of Russia and Communism when one mentions they are a "Conservative" the ignoramus relates it to "Nazi" and "Right Wing"..
