Jim Webb's GI Bill passed the Senate with a bipartisan majority, 75-22. Clinton and Obama were both there, but McCain was in California on the fundraising trail.
Obama used the opportunity to once again tie his rival to the president.
Obama: "I respect Sen. John McCain's service to our country," Obama said on the Senate floor this morning. "He is one of those heroes of which I speak. But I can't understand why he would line up behind the president in opposition to this GI Bill. I can't believe why he believes it is too generous to our veterans. I could not disagree with him and the president more on this issue."
McCain: "I will not accept from Senator Obama, who did not feel it was his responsibility to serve our country in uniform, any lectures on my regard for those who did."
"Perhaps, if Senator Obama would take the time and trouble to understand this issue he would learn to debate an honest disagreement respectfully. But, as he always does, he prefers impugning the motives of his opponent, and exploiting a thoughtful difference of opinion to advance his own ambitions. If that is how he would behave as President, the country would regret his election."
McCain really gave it to Obama. He made Obama look stupid, spoiled, unappreciative and an opportunistic.
He suceeded, for once, in handing Hussein his a** on a platter.
Bravo McCain! We need more of this.

It gives us a glimmer of hope that McCain may grow some and actually begin to care whether he wins the election or not.

McCain wrote a different version of a GI Bill. Media sources only like to talk about the one that Jim Webb wrote because they want people to think that those who have some disagreement with Webb's bill, are thus, against having a GI Bill. That's not true though.

This is all too true. McPain was the first to defend Obama when someone at his rallys used BHO's middle name. He is soft the RNC is tougher though. A Tennessee add went after his wife

At this point we have no choice, Obama will be a nightmare for all of us. It will be upon the both I have to vote for McCain.

McQueen knows that he will be ten-times more glorified and idolized if he loses "honorably" to Barack Osama (i.e. does nothing to fight back) than if he wins the election. Since this creature (I mean McQueen here) thrives on being idolized for being "nonpartisan" and a "statesman" and all that leftwing nonsense (remember how he accused the U.S. military of being torturers, and was praised incessantly for it?), I am sure he will do the same here.

If he loses I don't think anyone will care about him much.
Most people don't think he would run again.
Bobama however... is young and will run as many times as it takes.
Someone needs to end his runs for all time.
