Title: Is this true about John McCain?

I recently saw a video where Chaim Ben Pesach claimed that,during the presidental campaign in 2004,John McCain was the first on John Kerry's wish list for vice president.So,was it really like that?

It was a rumor for a long time. The two are close friends and both served in Vietnam

McCain was never mean to Kerry but now Kerry is mean to McCain.
That's why McCain gets for being nice to Kerry.
