Title: The Movie "My Mexican Shiva"

It's a Mexican film about a rich Jewish family of Polish ancestry living in Mexico.  It covers the seven days of their shiva (like a wake) for their father.  It was interesting and funny.  However, the more I think of it, I feel as they showed the Jewish characters negatively.

Mexico is not exactly known as a bastion of philo-Semitism. They compared the wall separating Judea and Samaria from the rest of Israel (not that it is a good idea, but still) to the "apartheid wall" that Republicans want to build along the U.S./Mexican border. They aren't as nasty as blacks, but aren't that far off either.
