the Gallup poll has Obama for 3 weeks at 51%....McCain is trailing around 43%. How did this happen? Obama did nothing and his numbers just kept going up.

I have been active politically for over 30 years, and one thing I learned when I worked on the Reagan campaign in 1980: IGNORE ALL POLLS (even if they are good!)
I remember the week before election day, they had Reagan getting 39% of the vote. I'll never forget that low number, its burned into my mind!
And what happened, anyone remember? Reagan won BY A LANDSLIDE.
