Several Democrats confirmed that Emanuel had been offered the job. While it was not clear he had accepted, a rejection would amount to an unlikely public snub of the new president-elect within hours of an electoral college landslide.

Let's see what kind of socialist demagogue he is going to pick as the treasury minister.  And I heard a rumour that he's planning on making John Kerry the secretary of state, (G-d forbid).  These are the two positions that concern me the most.

Zach, it's Kerry who is muscling his way in.  he sees an opportunity.  i don't think O offered it.  we are getting conflicted news reports.
