Rahm Emanuel has accepted Obama's offer to be his Chief of Staff. It is said that the President's Chief of Staff is the second most important job in Washington.
Knowing what you know (see below) about Mr. Emanuel, how do my fellow JTF members feel about this very important Obama appointment? Is this a sign that Israel won't be thrown to the wolves by this administration? And does this appointment bode well for Jewish concerns in America? What are your thoughts?

Rahm Emanuel (Hebrew: רם עמנואל) was born in Chicago, Illinois.[7] His first name, Rahm, means "high" or "lofty" in Hebrew[8], while his last name, Emanuel, means "God is with us." After his family moved to Wilmette, he attended public school: Romona School, Wilmette Junior High School, and New Trier West High School.[11][12] He graduated from Sarah Lawrence College in 1981, and went on to receive a master's degree in Speech and Communication from Northwestern University in 1985. While still an undergraduate, he joined the congressional campaign of David Robinson of Chicago.[13]
Emanuel was a civilian volunteer in the Israel Defense Forces during the 1991 Persian Gulf War, serving in one of Israel's northern bases, rust-proofing brakes.[14][15]

I personally dont think this is good. Especially considering the fact that Emannuel is a big supporter of the Oslo peace process. This peace process involves dividing Israel and giving a good portion to the Arabs. This is not good for the Jews, not good for the Jewish state, just not good period.

Aha! I understand... so what you're saying is that Jews in politics won't be true to themselves and will be willing to bend over backwards for the goyim, is that right? So what you're also saying (I take it) is that Mr. Emanuel will be, in other words, a "House Jew". That's not good!

Years ago britain had Michael Howard as leader of the opposition. In debate, Blair said something like "we are more pro israel than your govt has ever and would ever be". Michael Howard was silent. (if Michael Howard had said he would be more, it would have been political suicide)
A jewish politician close to him actually admitted to the jewish press that Michael Howard would be less pro israel than blair , 'cos he couldn't be see as supportive.
He was a classic leftist politician. One son left judaism, converted to christianity and became a bishop. And his daughter married a gentile - a black gentile! (just so everybody knows she married a gentile!)
And when things go wrong, jews get the blame. Particularly if jews are in power to recieve the blame.

I can't believe you wrote this! Do you remember when, a few weeks ago, Jesse Jackson was in France and in essence said that, if Obama becomes President, the Jews won't run American foreign policy. Is it not unbelievable that this never made big news over here? So my friend called the ADL and guess what? They basically told him to go take a hike. I really was shocked, amazed and found it hard to believe. But now that you write this, I can see that he told me the truth.
