Title: Are there any lawYers in the house???

If anyone wants to PM me and give me some LEGAL advice so I can better self-advocate in my situation.

My landlord will not stop harrassing me.

It is happening again this week.

I cannot get the police to do anything.

I cannot get legal aid to do anything.

I cannot get the HUD housing office to do anything. (my apt is subsidised by federal $$$)

I even called the HUD landlord complaint line and they told me when the police write him a ticket or take him to jail, they can then do something.

I feel like sueing his pants off now.

The police chief told me he is harrassing me and can get fined. But unfortunately, I can't find who cares, beyond this.

I think I will just file an INSPECTOR GENERAL complaint and then they all will get investigated.

But I am concerned for my safety.

I am just really so tired of this.

and no, I can't move yet until my settlement gets paid. (still waiting for that).

I think I will file a formal complaint to the IG, that should cover it all.

Yup.

Having another inspection, this will be the 8th or 9th in the past 12 months.

I guess he figures if he bothers or ignores me enough I will just leave. But he needs to read the landlord/tenant laws.

I seriously think he wants to be sued.

Five apartments have moved out of here in the past 6 weeks, if that tells you something....


There are more on their way......
