Could someone please tell me if the name Raman could possibly be an Israeli first name.
-
No it is not a name, not even a word. May be it is RaaNan ?

I like Maruchan Ramen noodles to use with leftover meats. They taste better to me than top ramen.

Thanks everybody. I saw this name and a suspicious-sounding last and middle name, and thought that this might perhaps be a Jewish student. I didn't want to give him a failing grade.

Why? Do you believe in affirmative action, giving people good grades because of who they are rather than their work?

If they had a fair system out here (I'm not in the U.S.), then I would be completely impartial. But these Koranimals are running the place, intimidating the Jews. If this person is a Koranimal (he is not a European, definitely) then I don't want to cut him any breaks. If this is a Jew, then I don't want to be as harsh, because Jews are having a tough time right now. I feel like I'm in Hitler's Germany in 1933.
Normally, I am a very fair-minded person, but these are extreme times.

If I were in a class with a Jewish instructor and a Jewish student in the class that I knew wasn't doing their best work got a higher grade than I did, when my work was of higher quality, I have to tell you, I'd be furious.

Raman is certainly an Indian name, but Ramen is not.

Ramen is delicious though. Mmm... I like the creamy chicken flavor the best, with chicken meat added.

And rightly so.
