This is a great opportunity to raise support in the public mind for Palin. It's terrible what happened but let's try to turn this around for good. Let's show people what monsters the liberals really are by what they did here.

Exactly. It was a little hint that the HNIC is the supreme law of the land now, not the laws on our books, Constitution, police, or anything else.

I guarantee you that very powerful persons have told the Alaska police politely but firmly to "back off" of this case altogether.
