Title: What are your plans for dealing with inauguration day?
Post by: RanterMaximus on January 15, 2009, 03:57:58 PM
I have absolutely no plans on watching television or listening to radio all day long.

Ignore it... It will go away...

That's true.  It will go away.  It's nothing more than a dog and pony show, as it always has been.  But the jubilation that the media will have is something I am sick of seeing.  I can just the smirks on those jerks over at MSNBC.  Chris Matthews may climax during his coverage.

Let's make it into a JTF meetup day.  What day of the week is it?  If it's not on Shabbat, I would like to organize a NY JTF get together.  I think everyone else should organize JTF get togethers where they live.  How about it?

Maybe I'll watch Planet of the Apes..

I usually like to watch planet of the apes in February, to honor Black History month.

I think I'll go hunting.  It might calm my nerves.

We'll be homeschooling as usual that day, the only difference will be that I won't have the radio on while we do it. So it will easy for us to ignore it.

The book my youngest will be reading that week will be one about President Ronald Reagan; I figure while the usurper is being "inaugurated", we will ignore it and use the time to learn about a REAL President, one who really served this country admirably.

Two days later we will be in Washington, D. C. for the March for Life...so we'll get to see the mess the animals made of the capital of this country (I'm sure they won't have it all cleaned up by then!)

BTW, be sure to fly your US flags upside-down on Jan 20th, folks!

I'll be hoping for some disaster to overtake the throngs of evil America-haters that will be gathered in Washington D.C.
I think they are going the get dysentery and flood the streets with brown matter.

An incredibly severe cold front has swept down to the East Coast from the Arctic, and weather reports I've looked up for 1/20 say that DC will be BITTERLY COLD.

We all know negros hate the cold, so....maybe this is evidence of Hashem's judgement and displeasure?

One can only hope!

It falls on a Tuesday. I'll be working Monday night to Tuesday morning counting inventory at my job. Tuesday itself I'll have off. I'll probably sleep most of the day and post on JTF and play games.

But seriously, here is what's going to happen:

KFC are going to come up with a special inauguration day deal- free extra fried chicken wings for everyone who present them with an original autographed portrait of BHO.
When Obama appears on at the stage, the entire crowd begins to close in toward him, everyman tries to outpace the others to get the autograph.

Very quickly the situation goes out of control and people are trampled yet the human wave keeps going forward. Then BHO's bodyguards open fire at the crowd in a vain attempt to stop its advanced. But this only serve to further enrage the mob. The security forces quickly disappear underneath the human wave of enraged Obamaiites.

Obama makes a desperate retreat towards the presidential helicopter, but so so the Bushes, and there is not enough room to accommodate them all. So they begin to fight while the mob keeps flowing fast towards them. Finally they all somehow squeeze into the chopper but it can't take off fast enough due to the extra weight. It only lifts of 10 inches off the ground when the mob's angry hands reach the chopper's belly and cause it to crash back on the ground, the propeller slashes through the mob and chopping limbs and heads but still the mob won't cease.

Obama is seized by the mob and he is ripped apart and then, as the mob keeps squeezing into the stop, a huge human pile converges on top of his dismembered body and the immense weight turns his remains crush his bones to dust and extracts the intracellar fluid of his tissue, turning his remains into a human soup.

<THE END>

I will read the paper when I get up, but there will be NO TV news the whole day. It will be my day off, but I'm taking hubby to the Social Security Admin to sign up for SS that day.

Briann.............I found this: (Re: children's books on Ronald Reagan)
http://www.amazon.com/Ronald-Reagan-Encyclopedia-Presidents-Zachary/dp/0516413732

Ronald Reagan (Encyclopedia of Presidents) (Paperback)

Here is a page of books you might want to look at. I love to read the reviews at Amazon before buying something:
http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_b?url=search-alias%3Dstripbooks&field-keywords=The+Wit+and+Wisdom+of+Ronald+Reagan+&x=0&y=0

I had a hard time finding any children's books dealing with the cold war.

Sounds like a plan.
Around here it's Frank's Birthday.
My coworker's husband has the bad luck of having his birthday fall on Tuesday.
He is distraught over it.
We plan on only celebrating Frank's Birthday on that day.

This travesty of an inauguration occurs six days before my B-day... Mine is Jan 26... I do not desire Obamas presidency as a birthday present.

Yes, I found similar books.  But nothing really geared towards 7 year olds.  They have TONS of these types of books for MLK, and even Obama.  I cant find one for 6-7 year olds about this subject.

BTW, here are his favorite history books so far:

Hi Ashe, I did not PM you. Must have been someone else. Nice to meet you Ashe, I was away from the forum for a while and came back just recently.
I like the idea of a silk flag, only I would have a giant pink pig with Mohameds name in the center of the flag. The Muzzies would love that ...hehehehe

Regardless of what happens that day, I will try not to watch any mainstream media for the next four yeas.  These liars will distort everything about Obama to make him look good.  And they rehash the "vast right-wing conspiracy" excuse, I will glady be part of it.

I'm going to watch as much as I can of it.  As distasteful as it is, it is important to try to understand evil.  I'm going to listen to the language and make notes of things that are said that are worrisome.  Not watching isn't going to help.  Same goes for his presidency.  I want to know exactly what he says and what he does.  We are commanded to be the watchmen.

If any of the New York JTF'ers want to get together, let me know.  I'm organizing a meet up, which I've decided to hold in Queens.  So if you're interested in coming, please send me a private message and I'll give you the name of the restaurant.
