Well, without question, this is good for Israel, and bad for the US. And as some have commented above, Israel at least knows how to prevent their terrorism. If they bring it to US soil, the US will be inept against the threat. At the end of the day, it's good for Israel. But I can see why any American citizen would not like this idea (unless they are the far left liberal demographic that voted Obama in - which is next to no one on this forum).

The United States has been fortunate since 9/11. That blessing will certainly run out someday. And so what I find most remarkable about this (and likely other such moves to import third world primitives) is that Obama is utterly indifferent to the political fallout that would happen if these and/or other Muslim fanatics launch a terrorist attack again in the United States. It's almost as if he's in a race to do as much damage to American security as possible and as quickly as possible.

Not only is this horrible for the U.S. , it's potentially horrible for Israel. Because of traitor " leaders " like Barack Hussein Obama and the major political parties in Israel, this decision could help pave the way for a two state so called solution in Israel. The PLO/ Fatah will be viewed as the moderates who are allowed to remain in Israel. And as a reward for them being " moderate ", they will be handed Judea, Samaria, the Golan Heights, Gaza, and who knows what else! There may actually be a bright side to this. Once Americans see how these new immigrants don't work, don't produce anything, slander America, don't fit in, once Americans see what low lifes these people are, then they may begin to understand that the conflict between the Jews and the Arabs is truly a conflict between good and evil. This may create a friendlier America towards Israel.

I had posted a new topic on this yesterday. I apologize that I didn't see that it had been posted previously.
During the election and before the inauguration, I was concerned about Obama's capability to keep America safe and protected. And my concerns proved to be true, he has no idea what this will do to America. He is too concerned with his own agenda, ego, and furthering his so-called legacy, he is blinded by what he perceives to be reality.
G-d forbid another attack such as 9/11 is to occur under his watch, then and maybe only then, he might open his blinded eyes.

They think dhimmitude would be comfortable and secure, and like you said preferable.
Perhaps akin to the sentiment of battered women who would prefer to live with their abusers rather than leave and make it on their own/find someone new.
Perhaps they think that dhimmitude would be a mundane, predictable, less than optimal slight downgrade from freedom, BUT would provide some sort of protection from risks and unknowns.
