It is one of the best in the world in its class with competetors "Patria" and "Pandur",but twice cheaper. It is used in infantry, designed for transporting of 10 men(while men can shoot from the left and right side of the vehicle) and for support in battles on hard terrains and in urban areas. It has, probably the best, protection from mines and other improvised explosive staff. For that purpose it has special design in "V" letter.
It has advanced electronics and sensible sensors.Main gun(turet) is controled by joystick while 1 man who controls it look into the screen to see the outside area, but it could be controled conventianally if electronics is broken in combat.
First order is from Iraq.USA is going to buy it for Iraqis as a good protection from mines.I think the ordered number is 100.It is going to be used in our Army and probably is going to be sold to middle east countries.

Serbs have always been masters at the creativity of infantry and mobile weapons. Just take a look at some Serbian AK-47's which are considered one of the top 3 AK-type guns. These days, in the US, you can't buy a Serbian AK under $2,500 while you can get other brands for less than half that price.
I have shot some Serbian weapons and I really have to say that you can tell the difference in the performance. The most popular Serbian AK is the M70 model and the Dragunov-style AK sniper rifle.

Is it better than the BTR 80?

Theres also the New Serbian assault rifle - Zastava M21
The Zastava M21 is a modern assault rifle developed and manufactured by the Serbian Zastava Arms company.
The M21 is designed on the basis of the famous Kalashnikov rifles

Id say yes!
BTR 80
The side firing ports are angled forward. This design prevents mounted infantrymen from engaging targets directly to the sides and rear of the vehicle with small arms fire. The inability for the infantrymen to direct small arms fire to the sides and rear makes it somewhat unsuitable for counter insurgency operations.
The armor on the BTR-80 is limited to stopping small arms fire and shell fragments but can be easily penetrated by an RPG round, although this is a common limitation amongst light armoured combat vehicles, as they are not designed for heavy combat.
It also has some shortcomings against mines and IED's compared to its western counterparts.

High level of armor protection was achieved by adopting of steel armor hull that, in its basic version, includes ballistic glass panes and provides protection that meets STANAG
