It could. Especially if more people start pulling their retirement/insurance accounts out of the market.

Ruby, start buying gold or you can invest in a house, now is the time to buy real estate since it will go up eventually. This may be a good alternative ...when you need the money later you can cash out on your gold and reap an income from your home as a rental. I am glad to hear you are not going to invest in this risky about to fall market. P.S. If you invest in property you may not be able to sell for a while, but at least it is a safe investment.
