Isnt it sad that this is probably considered 'modest clothing' now? :'(

I agree, the corset is an unrighteous fashion. Can you tell me what the 'hand written' word in the ad is ?

Ruby, THAT is NOT the point.  It says "G-D"  on the AD, THAT is the POINT.  :)

Thanks, you can see what I am saying.
 I have an old corset- many of them were NOT made of steel and bone. Some online lingerie store has a corset that pulls you in, and it is WONDERFUL- I have one, but it hurts now, b/c of my surgery, so it ALL hangs out now. tee hee.

Wow, womens' underwear was far more modest than lots of womens' "outerwear" today.  ???

I think my main problem with corsets is tightlacing. If it's not used in tightlacing then it's not so big of a problem but the ad clearly shows the fashionable "wasp" shape which requires tightlacing to achieve.

I guess I have mixed feelings about that ad because they're associating something painful and constricting with God.
