I think someone hacked my home phone...

I called a friend of mine, 3 times in a row, only to have someone tell me it was not her phone (and they snickered)....she swears nobody was there who could have done that.

I dunno..I guess I have to believe her, the only other explanation is someone hacked my phone..

I you have a cordless phone, this can happen and happened to me a long time ago. Make sure you have a newer cordless with 5.8 GHz or better.

Post by: cjd on March 28, 2009, 08:06:55 PM: The old style cordless phones are a mess they can lock on to a neighbors base or even lock on to a baby monitor. I had a very expensive one years back that once locked on to the neighbors baby monitor when I was trying to make a call. It was funny because I could hear a bird chirping in the back ground and someone working in the kitchen moving pots and pans around. If anyone in the neighborhood has a police or fire scanner around they will lock on to the conversation from the older cordless phones. Call me an old relic but I like my phone plugged directly into the wall. The cordless phones even the best of them remind me of the old party lines where everyone in the neighborhood knew everyone else's business.
