Gordon Brown's political approach to the recession is identical to Obama's. He has everything already nationalized, he just has a head start in driving UK through the floor. Obama still has to nationalize anything he hasn't nationalized yet.

He was right by giving Brown a smackdown.

And yes, Brown is enacting Obama's method of dealing with the economic meltdown.
