Where is everyone?  And what are you all up to?

Pretty good. Was there a holiday this week? I noticed the forum went down earlier than usual.

Yes.

Shavuot started Thursday night.  That's the holiday that takes place six weeks after Passover.  It's the anniversary of the day G-d gave Moses and the Israelites the Ten Commandments.

I should have edited the message screen.  Oh well.

Hi Lisa ...Ruby....Chad ! It's 7:00 PM here on the West Coast....Cloudy and cool. We Californians call it June Gloom! Usually in the Month of June we have a thick marine layer on and off for weeks. On some days the sun comes out in the mid afternoon, and other times not.

I am doing just fine and I hope the same for you all .....just seeing what's up!

Lisa,

You are almost correct... Shavuot starts 50 days, or 7 weeks after Passover... One of the names of Shavuot is Pentecost, which means holiday of 50 days, during which time we count the Omer {for 49 days}.

Shalom

Now I will have a shower and eat something. Later I will meet with some friends (like yesterday). They sky is blue and it's warm. Really nice weather here. I am sure the day will be great. Tomorrow I don't have to work because it's a feast day. Long weekend  ;D

G-d bless
Steven
