Sickening, but nothing new. We can only be thankful that the US and UK troops being taken prisoner in Iraq and Afghanistan seem have been relatively few. We can only hope that in time our politicians will accept a bit of history, and learn that these conflicts should be fought only by bombing, and with an Al Quaida-type disregard for civilian casualties. I fail to understand why it was acceptable to bomb Serbs into submission, but not Muslims, but I guess we'd better get used to it with the new Muslim President.
