Not sure that I get it, but the truth is that at several key points in history, all of Israel was populated by "super-Jews", i.e. in the Joshua era and 1967 and 73. Israelis today could be super-Jews once again if only they had the will and faith.

Superman was complimenting the 'cape' the Jew was wearing. He was simply wearing his Tallit / Prayer Shawl which has the tzit-tzit/fringes on them... I think it is funny because we all wear a prayer shawl during davening.
