SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUTE. She had him for years, he never did anything bad. And he RECOGNIZES her and KNOWS how to HUG. Hashem's creatures are so beautiful.

yes....

"..and the lion shall lie down with the lamb..."
But not yet! So I am not hugging any of them! :::D
In all seriousness, she better be careful, an animal can be unpredictable and can turn at any time. If she must hug it, if she insists and can't be talked out of it, doing it like she did through a cage is smart, she'll have a decent chance of staying alive should the animal turn on her.

What's cute or harmless in a house cat can be deadly in a lion. Tiger sometimes likes to lick me then follows it up with a bite. If a lion did that I wouldn't have a face even if the intentions were't to harm

Do you guys remember that polar bear cub Knut, who was hand raised in Germany when his mother abandoned him?
Well I saw of video of cute little Knut getting all angry, and biting his keeper Thomas Doerflein hard when his baby bottle got clogged up. In another interview, Doerflein said he was covered in bruises from taking care of that bear.
If any animal acted like that with me, I wouldn't find him so cute.

I remember reading about that lion. His owners actually bought him at that department store Harrods in London.
Now what I don't understand is why a London department store would be allowed to sell wild animals. Also, aren't there law in England preventing people from owning wild animals as well?

Polar bears aren't domestic. They're supposed to be wild animals. It would be nice if they could calm him down some with clicker training or something similar though.
