Title: Sharp Decline in Students Learning Jewish Studies

(IsraelNN.com) According to data revealed today by the Knesset’s Education Committee there has been a dramatic decline over the last decade in the number of students attending classes in Jewish Studies in Israeli universities. In first degree studies there has been a decrease of 36%, and in second degree studies a 23% decrease.

Meanwhile the number of students in higher education institutions increased by 30% this decade.

I have heard the opposite, that there has never been more Jews attending Yeshivas in Israel.... I dont know if I believe this report from the 'israeli' government.
