I think on the original version the piano part is less 'funky', so you could say this is a good performance.

No.  This Al Stewart was a British pop/folk singer who sang a song called "The Year Of The Cat."  Other songs include "On The Border" and "Time Passages."

I love the piano in that song too. Time Passages was another good one Lisa!
